Three Peaks Yacht Race 1987

In 1987, as part of our preparation for the 1988 Short handed Race around Australia, Martin Pryor entered us in the 11th Three Peaks Yacht Race in Britain. Sailing from Barmouth in Wales up to Carnarvon, on to Ravenglass in England and then further north to Fort William in Scotland. At each of the stops. the runners in team head off to run to the summits of the three highest peaks in Wales, England and Scotland - Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis. Our runners were Duncan Richards and Brian Wathen from Australia and our 5th crew member was Terry who had won the race previously and who supplied us with a fast catamaran. Castlemaine XXXX came on board as team sponsor and off we went.
